PRO LATE MODELS ADDED TO KCRP 2020 LINEUP

Bakersfield, CA – For 2020, Kern County Raceway will add the Pro Late Model division to its 2020 racing line up.  The Pro Late Models have become the fastest growing race division at local short tracks in the western region, with a rules package that serves tracks from Roseville to Irwindale, including Madera.

“We have all witnessed the success of the Pro Late Models over the past few years,” stated Kern County Raceway GM Larry Collins.  “After off-season meetings, we knew the Pro Late Model is a great fit for Kern County Raceway and look forward to hosting four races in 2020, with an expanded schedule in the future.”

The first Pro Late Model event at KCRP will take place on April 18th.  The one area in the 2020 Pro Late Model rule book that Kern County Raceway will differ from the other tracks, is that KCRP will only utilize the 602 Crate Engine.

“The future direction of the Pro Late Models in the western region is the 602-crate engine,” added Collins.  “Kern County Raceway wants to be on the front end of this transition, at the same time leveling the playing field and reducing the engine cost now, to build for the future of the division.”

Kern County Raceway will kick off its 2020 season with a Dirt Track / Paved Track Double Header on March 14th, where one ticket price will get you into both race tracks, with the NARC 410 Sprint Cars headlining on the 1/3 mile dirt track, and the NASCAR Super Stocks and Modifieds headlining at the 1/2 mile paved oval.  Two tracks, five race divisions, one ticket, all on the same night.
