JIM BURKE FORD AND TY MAJESKI TEAM UP FOR THE 2018 WINTER SHOWDOWN

Ty Majeski will be making the long haul from Seymour, WI to Bakersfield, CA for the Fourth Annual Winter Showdown on February 2nd and 3rd. The $30,000 to win and $3,000 to start event is drawing drivers from all across the country to Kern County Raceway. Helping to make the trip possible, for Majeski, is a partnership with Jim Burke Ford.
The 23 year old driver was recently signed to compete in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, for Jack Rousch Racing, and will compete in a partial schedule in the number 60 Ford Fusion. Majeski already has a NASCAR Xfinity Series top ten finish, in only three career starts.
Majeski is excited to have Jim Burke Ford in his corner, for the 300 lap affair, at Kern County Raceway.
“It is a great opportunity for us to come down. Obviously Ford is a big part of my racing career, moving forward. It’s cool to have a Ford Dealership from out west give us the opportunity to come out there and race with the western guys. I’m excited for one of the biggest Super Late Model races in the country and we are ready to give it our best shot.”
Majeski is a four-time champion on the ARCA Midwest Tour Series, winning 19 times during that period. He has won such Super Late Model races as the Governor’s Cup (three times), at New Smyrna Speedway, the Rattler 250 (twice), at South Alabama Speedway (AL), Octoberfest and the Dick Trickle 99, at Lacrosse Fairgrounds Speedway (WI), and the Howie Lettow Memorial, at Madison International Speedway (WI). Majeski was the “World Series of Asphalt Short Track Racing” Super Late Model Champion, at New Smyrna Speedway (FL), along with being the number one draft pick, in the 2016 Speed51.com Short Track Draft.
Jim Burke Ford is also looking forward to the opportunity to help support one of the biggest up and coming drivers in the nation, at an event as prestigious as the Winter Showdown.
“Jim Burke Ford is proud to sponsor Ty Majeski’s entry into the Fourth Annual Winter Showdown”, commented Dan Hay, the President and General Manager of Jim Burke Ford Lincoln. “Team ‘M’ Racing is a welcome addition to the big names from around the country that will fill the track at the 2018 SRL Winter Showdown. Jim Burke Ford couldn’t be more excited to bring Ty to Bakersfield for the SRL Southwest Tour. This will definitely be one of the year’s premier racing events!”
The Fourth Annual Winter Showdown will begin on February 1st, with practice for all the Super Late Model teams. “51FIFTY Energy Drink Night” is Friday February 2nd, with Qualifying and the “Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse Last Chance Qualifying Race” for the Super Late Models. The Late Models and Super Stocks will also be in action for their Main Events. Saturday, February 3rd will cap off the weekend with the 2018 Winter Showdown, with $30,000 going to the winner of the Super Late Model feature.
Fans interested in meeting with Ty, before the Showdown, can come out to Jim Burke Ford, located at 2001 Oak St in Bakersfield, on Thursday, the morning of February 1st at a time TBA.
