HARRISBURG, N.C. (Aug. 21, 2025) – The Harvick Cup, fueled by Hunt Brothers Pizza and broadcast by FloRacing, has added another slice of racing to its schedule, announcing the addition of Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway (Saturday, Oct. 25) to the list of scheduled father-versus-son Showdown races. The event will also feature 13-year-old Keelan Harvick making his Super Late Model debut in a Spears-sponsored throwback tribute to his father in the CARS Tour West.
The blue-and-white Spears paint scheme holds special meaning for the Harvick family, as the elder Harvick drove an identical livery for Spears Motorsports in the former Winston West Series and early in his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series career. Harvick went on to capture the 1998 Winston West championship and multiple victories with the Spears entry, including a dominant five-win season during his title campaign.
“Racing a Super Late Model at Kern is going to be awesome,” said Keelan Harvick. “Doing it in a throwback to my dad’s Spears car is cool, too. Everyone in Bakersfield has been super supportive of racing, and the Spears partnership means a lot to my family. It’s awesome to carry on that tradition.”

The addition of the Super Late Model event at Kern Raceway brings the Harvick Cup tally to nine races. It’s been largely the Keelan Harvick Show, however, as the youngster holds a commanding five-race lead in the head-to-head competition, including a win in CARS Tour West at Colorado National Speedway last Saturday.
The young Harvick, a previous winner at Kern Raceway earlier this year, has notched impressive stats in his foray in late model competition, securing three victories and five top-five finishes in six Pro Late Model starts across the CARS Tour and CARS Tour West. Harvick also became the first driver to win both a CARS Tour and CARS Tour West race.
The elder Harvick will pilot the familiar and fan-favorite No. 29 Busch Light Super Late Model in the additional event at Kern Raceway, with Rackley W.A.R. fielding both Kevin’s No. 29 and Keelan’s No. 62 entries.
All four of the remaining Harvick Cup races will be streamed live on FloRacing, with exact coverage times announced in the coming weeks.
