BUILT UPON THE SUCCESSES OF 2019 KERN COUNTY RACEWAY ANNOUNCES 2020 SCHEDULE

BAKERSFIELD, CA –Kern County Raceway Park is pleased to announce its schedule of events for 2020.  Kern County Raceway Park, one of the nation’s finest short track venues will host 16 events, featuring 26 race divisions competing at the ‘Dirt Track at KCRP’ and the Kern County Raceway half-mile in 2020.

“Last year we hit on some really cool events like the dirt and asphalt double headers when we ran both tracks on the same night,” stated KCRP General Manager, Larry Collins.  “In 2020, we’ll host four dirt and asphalt doubles, in fact we’re kicking  off our 2020 season on March 14th with the NARC 410 Sprint Car Series at the ‘Dirt Track’, and our NASCAR Super Stocks and Modifieds on the pavement, one ticket-two tracks, that’s a hellva way to start a race season.”

Other big nights scheduled at Kern County Raceway in 2020, include the nationally televised “Winter Showdown” on March 21st, one of the nation’s biggest Super Late Model events, featuring the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series.  The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series will return to the annual “October Classic” on October 24th, where they will be joined by the stars of the new ARCA Menards West Series – formerly the NASCAR K&N West Series.

On June 20th, the “Nobody Fights Alone” foundation will host one the biggest fundraising events of the year featuring a festival of racing and country music, with one of country music’s hottest stars on stage after the races.

“June 20th will be an event you can’t miss in 2020, we’ll be making more announcements about this big event in the near future,” commented Collins.  “It’s a throwback to some of the big shows that we hosted back in the day at Mesa Marin.”

The Fireworks Spectacular on June 27th is another not to miss event on the schedule along with the season ending “George Snider Classic” featuring the ‘King of the Wing Sprint Car Series’ on pavement and the 360 Wingless Sprint Cars on the dirt.

For the first time in track history, USAC will bring their “360 West Coast Sprint Car Series “and “Western States Midgets” to ‘The Dirt Track at KCRP’.

The 2020 season at Kern County Raceway Park runs March through October, with a summer break taking place July and August.  For more information of the 2020 Kern County Raceway Park schedule of events go to www.kernraceway.com.
