Ride Along Experience
Strap into the passenger seat of a real race car and experience the speed, sound, and adrenaline of Kern Raceway’s high-banked 1/2-mile oval.
What It’s Like
This is not a simulator and it is not a parade lap. You’ll ride shotgun with a professional driver in a real race car as it charges onto the track and reaches speeds of 100+ mph. From the rumble of the engine to the force of the banking, every second is designed to make you feel the thrill of true oval track racing.

Important Reminder
Ride Along participants must arrive on time and be ready to check in.
Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required. All loose personal items must be secured before entering the car.
Experience Timeline
1. Check In
Upon arrival, staff will verify your ride package and guide you through the waiver and check-in process.
2. Safety Briefing
You’ll receive instructions on what to expect, how the ride will work, and how to safely enter and exit the vehicle.
3. Gear Up
Staff will help get you fitted with the required safety gear and properly secured in the passenger seat.
4. Hit the Track
Once on track, you’ll experience the acceleration, cornering force, and intensity of a real race car on Kern Raceway’s fast half-mile oval.
Afternoon Session
Time: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Arrive early and be ready for check-in. This session takes place before the main event program begins.
Night Session
Time: Begins approximately 30 minutes after the final event
Stay after the races and experience the thrill of riding under the lights at the end of the night.
Know Before You Go
- Loose items must be removed before entering the race car
- All participants must complete any required waivers
- Participants must follow all staff and driver instructions
- Ride schedule may shift slightly depending on event operations
