BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (May 5, 2025) — Bakersfield-based Mission Bank will be the event sponsor of the Mission Bank 250 at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway on Saturday, May 31, featuring “The Battle of the Harvicks.”
NASCAR Cup Series veteran and Bakersfield native Kevin Harvick will battle his 12-year-old-son, Keelan, for the first time ever around Kern Raceway’s half-mile oval.
The duo will compete in the night’s main event, the Spears CARS Tour West, presented by Hoosier Racing Tire, Pro Late Model Series twin 75-lap feature.
For Kevin Harvick, co-owner of Kern Raceway and the CARS Tour West, the Mission Bank 250 is going to be a flagship event for the Bakersfield hometown hero.
“This is going to be a great weekend of racing for the local community, and I’m grateful we’re partnering with Mission Bank to make it happen,” Harvick said. “Racing Keelan in Bakersfield for the first time is a pretty cool dad moment. This town has meant so much in the progression of my racing career, and being able to tie that together with the start of Keelan’s racing career is pretty special.”
For Mission Bank President and Chief Executive Officer A.J. Antongiovanni, the event is geared up to provide a night of family friendly fun in Kern.

The Mission Bank 250 will feature 250 laps of racing action across several divisions, including the Spears CARS Tour West and the MMI Legends Tour West, presented by Frank’s Radio Service. Local divisions and additional on track entertainment are in store for this once in a lifetime motorsports event.
