Kern County Raceway and NASCAR Looking Forward to 2020

BAKERSFIELD, CA – Kern County Raceway and NASCAR look to continue their longstanding relationship as the west Bakersfield half-mile continues to be part of NASCAR’s weekly racing series in 2020.  Since the grand opening of Kern County Raceway in 2013, NASCAR has sanctioned the raceway each year of operation and plans to do so in 2020.

“We couldn’t be happier to have our longstanding relationship with the teams, fans and staff of Kern County Raceway continue in 2020,” commented Kevin Nevalainen, Weekly Racing Operations, NASCAR.  “Kern is a state-of-the-art facility, and one of the finest short tracks in North America.  We are proud to have Kern County Raceway as a NASCAR Home Track.

Kern County Raceway will open it’s 2020 season with the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series on Saturday, March 7th, host a full schedule of racing and entertainment events, then close out the 2020 season with the annual “George Snider Classic” King of the Wing National Sprint Car Championship on Sunday, November 15th.  Look for the full 2020 schedule of events to be released soon.
